Product Overview
654 SMO (UNS S32654 / W.Nr. 1.4652) is a super austenitic stainless steel containing 23% nickel, 25% chromium and 7% molybdenum. Its corrosion resistance is comparable to that of the best nickel-based alloys. With nitrogen content twice as high as 254SMo, its strength exceeds both 904L and 254SMo.

Material Characteristics
UNS S32654 (1.4652, 654SMO) is a special stainless steel containing high percentages of Nickel and Chromium, 7% molybdenum, and very high Nitrogen content, providing high mechanical strength. 654SMO is recognized as the stainless steel with the highest corrosion resistance worldwide. It features fairly high electrical conductivity among wrought super austenitic stainless steels, along with relatively low thermal conductivity and moderately high ductility.
