JIS G4312-2019 JIS G4305 SUH409L Cold Rolled Stainless Steel Coil Strip

AISI 409L stainless steel strip and SUH409L stainless steel coil are premium cold rolled steel sheets designed for decorative construction applications. Compared with ordinary carbon steel, stainless steel features enhanced chemical composition with alloying elements such as Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), and Molybdenum (Mo), resulting in significantly different material characteristics.

The corrosion resistance of stainless steel primarily depends on Chromium content, while Molybdenum and Nitrogen can further enhance corrosion resistance. Nickel ensures optimal microstructure and mechanical properties.

HL	Silver-gray with hair streaks. Processing: Polishing 2D or 2B products with suitable abrasive material for continuous grain appearance
8K	Mirror state surface. Processing: Grinding and polishing 2D or 2B products to mirror effect with suitable abrasive material
2B	Silvery white with better gloss and flatness than 2D. Processing: Hot rolling + annealing shot peening pickling + cold rolling + annealing pickling + quenching and tempering rolling
BA	Excellent surface gloss with high reflectivity, similar to mirror surface. Processing: Hot rolling + annealing shot peening pickling + cold rolling + annealing pickling + surface polishing + quenched and tempered rolling
1D	Discontinuous particle surface, also known as matte. Processing: Hot rolling + annealing shot peening pickling + cold rolling + annealing pickling
2D	Slightly shiny silvery white. Processing: Hot rolling + annealing shot peening pickling + cold rolling + annealing pickling
No.3	Better gloss with rough surface. Processing: Polishing and tempering rolling of 2D or 2B products with 100-120 abrasive materials (JIS R6002)
