Material Description
17-4PH (Type 630) is a chromium-copper precipitation hardening stainless steel with Cu and Nb/Cb additions, combining high strength, hardness (up to 572°F / 300°C), and corrosion resistance comparable to Alloy 304 or 430.

Processing Characteristics
Welding
Can be welded using all conventional methods without pre-heating. Care should be taken to prevent weldment stresses.
