Product Description
Corrosion Resistant Nickel Alloy Sheet Hastelloy C22 Plate ASME SB 619
Alloy C22 is an enhanced nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy designed for superior performance in aggressive industrial environments. This alloy offers exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking in both oxidizing and acid chloride conditions.
Key Features and Benefits
- Superior overall corrosion resistance compared to Alloy C-276
- Outstanding resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking
- Excellent performance in oxidizing aqueous environments including wet chlorine and nitric acid/chloride ion mixtures
- Enhanced weldability with Alloy C22 weld fillers used for joining other corrosion-resistant alloys
- Exceptional resistance to seawater corrosion under both stagnant and flowing conditions
Material Composition
Hastelloy C22, UNS N06220 - Nickel-base alloy containing approximately 22% chromium, 14% molybdenum, and 3% tungsten with iron limited to less than 3%.

Fabrication Guidelines
While ductile enough for cold working, intermediate annealing may be required due to work hardening. Forging should be performed between 1750-2050°F followed by rapid cooling. Annealing temperature range is 2020-2150°F with rapid quench to avoid detrimental phase formation between 1400-1800°F. Welding can be accomplished using gas tungsten-arc, gas metal-arc, and shielded metal-arc processes.
