Copper is second only to silver as an excellent conductor of electricity and heat. The electrical and thermal conductivity of copper at room temperature are 94% and 73.2% of silver, respectively.
Commonly used in industry is deformed copper containing more than 99.3% copper and can be made into various semi-finished products by pressure processing, also known as processed copper.
Red copper is industrial pure copper with a melting point of 1083°C, no allotropes, a relative density of 8.9, five times that of magnesium, and 15% heavier than ordinary steel. It has a rose red color, and it appears purple after an oxide film is formed on the surface, so it is generally called red copper. It is copper containing a certain amount of oxygen, so it is also called oxygen-containing copper. The impurities in it are oxidized and discharged, and the amount of solid solution is reduced, which is not only conducive to the conductivity of copper, but also eliminates the influence of harmful impurities. However, copper is prone to embrittlement (called hydrogen disease) in a reducing atmosphere above 370°C. In order to avoid such problems, oxygen-free copper or deoxidized copper can be used. The copper melting and casting process is simple, the cost is low, and it is suitable for mass production of processed products. There are three types of copper grades in my country: T1, T2, and T3, of which T2 copper is widely used.
Features and scope of application: good mechanical properties, good plasticity in hot state, acceptable in cold state, good machinability, easy fiber welding and welding, corrosion resistance, but easy to produce corrosion cracking, in addition, the price is cheap, It is a common copper variety that is widely used. Red copper is used to make copper busbars, contactors, various types of conductors, radar components, switches and contacts.

Use of copper plate:
1. Uses: Purple copper plate is more widely used than pure iron. Every year, 50% of copper is electrolytically purified into pure copper for use in the electrical industry.
2. Uses: Copper has good corrosion resistance in the atmosphere, seawater and some non-oxidizing acids (hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid), alkali, salt solution and various organic acids (acetic acid, citric acid), and is used in the chemical industry. In addition, red copper has good weldability and can be made into various semi-finished and finished products by cold working and thermoplastic processing.
3. Uses: The purple copper plate has unique and excellent performance, and is an ideal substitute material for making circuit breakers, contact conductive plates, low-voltage air switch conductive accessories, etc. Compared with pure copper plate and copper-iron alloy plate, the tensile strength, hardness and electrical conductivity of purple copper plate are increased by 10.4%, 3% and 4.4%, respectively.
Uses: Excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, ductility and corrosion resistance. It is mainly used in the manufacture of electrical equipment such as generators, busbars, cables, switchgear, transformers, etc., as well as heat-conducting equipment such as heat exchangers, pipes, and flat-plate collectors for solar heating devices.
5.Uses: Suitable for foundation water stop, dam body water stop, dam crest water stop, gallery water stop, dam body hole water stop, factory water stop, horizontal seam water stop under overflow surface, etc. It is an ideal product to prevent omissions.
