Product Overview
Hastelloy X is one of the most widely used nickel-based alloys, valued for its exceptional resistance to oxidation and high-temperature strength. Also known as Alloy "X", this material is commonly specified for gas turbine engine components, furnace applications, and combustion zone sections including tailpipes, cabin heaters, and heat-treating equipment.
Key Properties & Characteristics
- Excellent resistance to stress-corrosion cracking and carburization
- Suitable for petrochemical processing equipment
- Excellent forming and welding characteristics
- Good machinability in rolled and cast forms with proper coolant
- Available in solution heat-treated condition (2150°F followed by rapid cooling)
- Can be forged and cold worked due to excellent ductility
