Material Overview
C-276 Hastelloy is a nickel-based alloy of nickel-molybdenum-chromium-iron-tungsten and is one of the most corrosion-resistant modern metal materials. It provides excellent resistance to wet chlorine, various oxidizing chlorides, chlorinated salt solutions, sulfuric acid, and oxidizing salts, with good corrosion resistance in low and medium temperature hydrochloric acid.
This alloy has been widely used in harsh corrosive environments for over three decades, including chemical processing, petrochemical, flue gas desulfurization, pulp and paper manufacturing, environmental protection, and other industrial fields.

Key Advantages
C276 alloy is suitable for numerous chemical process industries containing both oxidizing media and reductants. The high molybdenum and chromium content provides excellent resistance to chloride corrosion, while tungsten enhances overall corrosion resistance. This alloy is one of the few materials capable of resisting corrosion from wet chlorine, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide, with outstanding performance against high concentration chlorates such as iron chloride and copper chloride.
