Material Description
654SMO (S32654, 1.4652) super austenitic stainless steel is a premium alloy containing 23% nickel, 25% chromium, and 7% molybdenum, offering significantly superior corrosion resistance compared to standard austenitic steels.
This high-molybdenum content makes the steel hard and sticky during seamless pipe perforation, presenting challenges with eccentricity or cracking. Our specialized manufacturing process uses center-perforated round steel followed by cold rolling or cold drawing to ensure high success rates and quality.
654SMO demonstrates exceptional local corrosion resistance with superior pitting and stress corrosion resistance in seawater, aeration, gaps, and low-speed erosion conditions. It serves as an effective alternative to nickel-based alloys and titanium alloys, outperforming 904L and 254SMO in both high-temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.
