Overview of Inconel 600 (N06600) Nickel-Based Alloy
Inconel 600 is an early-developed nickel-chromium-iron-based solid solution strengthened alloy. This material offers excellent high temperature corrosion and oxidation resistance, superior hot and cold processing capabilities, and outstanding welding performance. It maintains satisfactory heat resistance and high temperature plasticity below 700°C.
The alloy can be strengthened through cold working processes and can be joined using resistance welding, solvent welding, or brazing techniques. It is particularly suitable for manufacturing anti-oxidation components that bear low loads at temperatures up to 1100°C.
