Product Description
309S Stainless Steel Plate SUS 309S Plate 6×1500×6000mm
309S stainless steel (S30908 per AISI/ASTM standards) offers superior corrosion resistance and high-temperature performance, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 980°C. This austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel is primarily used in boiler, chemical, and industrial applications where exceptional heat resistance and corrosion protection are required.
Material Composition
The key difference between 309 and 309S stainless steel lies in carbon content. 309S features reduced carbon composition, which minimizes carbide precipitation and enhances weldability while maintaining excellent high-temperature properties.

Surface Condition
Available in various commercial surface finishes including highly reflective, matte, glossy, polished, embossed, colored, plated, or etched surfaces. The material is easy to maintain with simple rinsing to remove dust and surface contaminants, thanks to its excellent corrosion resistance.
Applications
Ideal for applications requiring long-term structural integrity, water impermeability, and maintained aesthetic appearance. Commonly used in high-temperature environments, boilers, chemical processing equipment, and architectural applications where corrosion resistance and heat tolerance are critical.
International Stainless Steel Classification
- Austenitic stainless steel: Marked with 200 and 300 series numbers (302, 304, 316, 310)
- Ferritic and martensitic stainless steel: 400 series digital representation
- Ferritic stainless steel: 430 and 446
- Martensitic stainless steel: 410, 420, and 440C
- Duplex, precipitation hardened, and high-alloy steels: Typically identified by patent or trade names
Export Packaging
- Unit weight: 2-3 tons per package or as requested by client
- Packing type: Strong wooden pallet with steel strip reinforcement, or customized to client specifications
