Inconel 718 (UNS N07718) nickel alloy strips are premium-grade, precipitation-hardenable superalloys engineered for exceptional performance in extreme environments. These cold-rolled strips and coils offer outstanding resistance to high temperatures (up to 700°C / 1300°F), oxidation, corrosion, and creep deformation—making them indispensable in aerospace, gas turbine, nuclear, and oil & gas industries.

Heat Treatment Capability

Inconel 718 achieves its peak mechanical properties through a two-step aging process:

  1. Solution Annealing: 954–982°C, followed by rapid cooling
  2. Precipitation Hardening:
    • 718°C for 8 hours → furnace cool to 621°C → hold 8 hours → air cool

This treatment optimizes γ″ (Ni₃Nb) and γ′ (Ni₃(Al,Ti)) phase formation for maximum strength.
