Inconel 718 / UNS N07718 Nickel Alloy Strips – High-Temperature Resistant Alloy Coils
Product Overview
Inconel 718 (UNS N07718) nickel alloy strips are premium-grade, precipitation-hardenable superalloys engineered for exceptional performance in extreme environments. These cold-rolled strips and coils offer outstanding resistance to high temperatures (up to 700°C / 1300°F), oxidation, corrosion, and creep deformation—making them indispensable in aerospace, gas turbine, nuclear, and oil & gas industries.
Manufactured to stringent international standards—including ASTM, AMS, EN, and DIN—our Inconel 718 strips are available in thicknesses from 0.1 mm to 3.0 mm, with precise dimensional control, consistent mechanical properties, and superior surface finish suitable for critical applications.
Key Advantages
- Exceptional high-temperature strength up to 700°C
- Outstanding fatigue and creep resistance
- Excellent weldability without post-weld cracking
- Resists oxidation, sulfidation, and aqueous corrosion
- Precipitation hardenable via heat treatment (γ″ and γ′ phases)
- Cold-rolled for tight tolerances and smooth surface finish

- Downhole wellhead and subsea components (oil & gas)
- Nuclear reactor core internals
- High-performance fasteners and springs
- Cryogenic tanks and superconducting magnets
Heat Treatment Capability
Inconel 718 achieves its peak mechanical properties through a two-step aging process:
- Solution Annealing: 954–982°C, followed by rapid cooling
- Precipitation Hardening:
- 718°C for 8 hours → furnace cool to 621°C → hold 8 hours → air cool
This treatment optimizes γ″ (Ni₃Nb) and γ′ (Ni₃(Al,Ti)) phase formation for maximum strength.
