Product Overview

34CrNiMo6 alloy steel is a high-strength nickel-molybdenum alloy with excellent comprehensive mechanical properties. This material is supplied as forged round bars, square/flat bars, rollers, shafts, and blocks, or as rolled round rods.

Applications

Heat Treatment Processes

Forging

Careful preheating required
Forging temperature: 1150-1200°C
Maintain temperature above 850°C during forging

Hardening & Tempering

Heat uniformly to 850°C
Quench in oil
Temper at 550°C for minimum 2 hours
Cool in furnace

Annealing

Heat thoroughly to 800-850°C
Slow cool to 550°C
Complete annealing in air

Normalizing

Heat to 850°C
Cool to room temperature in air
