Product Overview

Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium alloy designed for use from cryogenic to elevated temperatures up to 2000°F (1093°C). This high-performance alloy offers excellent oxidation resistance, good performance in carburizing and chloride-containing environments, and is virtually immune to chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking.

Chemical Composition

Ni 72.0-76.0%, Cr 14.0-17.0%, Fe 6.0-10.0%, Mn 1.0%, C 0.15%, Cu 0.5%, Si 0.5%, S 0.015%

Key Characteristics

Resistant to wide range of corrosive media including organic acids
Virtually immune to chlorine ion stress corrosion cracking
Excellent resistance to alkaline solutions and chloride environments
Good resistance to sulfur compounds and oxidizing environments
Non-magnetic with excellent mechanical properties
High strength combined with good workability
Readily weldable with good cold forming characteristics
