Corrosion Resistant 1.4529 Nickel Base Alloy Stainless Steel Plate Sheet and Strips
1.4529 grade is a high-alloyed stainless steel with an austenitic structure, classified as nickel alloys according to American standards. Delivered in the supersaturated state, it exhibits exceptional resistance to intercrystalline, pitting, and stress corrosion, as well as resistance to salt, sea water, chloride, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and other aggressive chemicals in high concentrations in both liquid and gaseous forms.
Materials of 1.4529 grade maintain adequate mechanical properties while working at elevated temperatures. The standard specifies significant percentages of Nickel, Chromium, Molybdenum, and Nitrogen, which contribute to limiting the creation of intermetallic phases and improving impact resistance.
This steel is primarily used in chemical, paper, cryogenic, aerospace, and power industries. Key applications include heat exchangers, chemical tanks, pumps, screws, aircraft components, bushings, shafts, water desalination and flue gas desulphurisation equipment, valves, and radiator components.
