High-strength 301 stainless steel strips available in various tempers including 1/4H, 1/2H, 3/4H, and Full Hard (FH). These spring-grade stainless steel strips offer exceptional strength and durability for demanding industrial applications.

Material Overview
Grade 301 stainless steel is supplied as strips and wires with tensile strength up to 1800 MPa, available in tempers ranging from 1/16 Hard to Full Hard. This grade maintains sufficient ductility even in ½ hard conditions, making it ideal for aircraft components, rail car parts, and architectural structures. Higher tempers (¾ to full hard) provide excellent wear resistance and spring characteristics for simple form designs.

301LN: Higher nitrogen content with increased work hardening rate (EN10088-2 as 1.4318)

Performance Characteristics
Corrosion Resistance
Similar corrosion resistance to 304 stainless steel, performing well in mildly corrosive environments at ambient temperatures.
Heat Resistance
Excellent oxidation resistance for intermittent service up to 840°C and continuous service up to 900°C.
Cold Working
High work hardening rate (approximately 14MPa increase per 1% reduction in area) enables achievement of high strength through cold rolling and forming operations. Non-magnetic when annealed, becomes magnetic when cold worked.
Welding
Suitable for all standard welding methods. Recommended filler metal: 308L. Annealing required after welding for maximum corrosion resistance (not necessary for 301L and 301LN variants).
