Manufacturing Processes
Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1150-850°C
Machinability
Machining is performed prior to carburizing to achieve close tolerances. After heat treatment, finish machining is minimized to preserve the hardened case, typically limited to grinding operations.
Welding
Suitable for conventional welding methods (gas or arc). Preheating at 200°C is recommended, followed by post-weld heating according to approved procedures.
Cold Working
Cold working is performed in the annealed condition using conventional methods, completed to close tolerances before heat treatment.
Applications
Widely used in transmission systems, tractor motors, and automotive components. Ideal for carburized gears, pinions, shafts, bearings, piston rings, ring gears, crankshafts, and other applications requiring hard carburized cases with tough cores.
Available Stock Sizes
| Product Form | Diameter Range |
|---|---|
| Round Bar | 12-380mm |
Material Conditions & Forms
Available in various forms including round bars, flat bars, plates, and blocks. Conditions range from pre-hardened, hot rolled, annealed, quenched and tempered to surface finishes including black, pre-machined, grinding, and polished.
