Productomschrijving
Bright Nickel Base Cold Drawn ASTM B622 Hastelloy C22 Tube
Product Overview
Hastelloy C22 Seamless Nickel Alloy Tube ASTM B622 Seamless Round Tube is an improved alloy designed for use in aggressive industrial environments. This nickel-base alloy offers exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking, making it ideal for demanding applications.
Key Features & Advantages
  • Superior overall corrosion resistance compared to Alloy C-276
  • Outstanding resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking
  • Excellent performance in oxidizing aqueous environments including wet chlorine and nitric acid mixtures with chloride ions
  • Enhanced weldability with Alloy C22 weld fillers used for joining other corrosion-resistant alloys
  • Excellent resistance to seawater corrosion under both stagnant and flowing conditions
Material Composition
Alloy C22 is nickel-base and typically contains 22% chromium, 14% molybdenum, and 3% tungsten, with iron limited to less than 3%. The high chromium content provides resistance to oxidizing media, while molybdenum and tungsten offer protection against reducing media.

Fabrication & Processing
Although ductile enough for cold working, intermediate annealing may be necessary due to work hardening. Forging should be performed between 1750-2050°F followed by rapid cooling. Annealing can be performed at 2020-2150°F with rapid quench to avoid detrimental phase formation. Welding can be done using gas tungsten-arc, gas metal-arc, and shielded metal-arc processes.
