ASME SA516 specification covers carbon steel plates for pressure vessels for moderate and lower-temperature service. These hot-rolled steel plates are specifically designed for boiler and pressure vessel applications.
Material Specifications
ASME SA516 plates up to 40mm thickness are typically supplied in as-rolled condition. Plates can be ordered normalized or stress relieved, or both. Plates over 40mm thickness must be normalized.
