Fabrication Guidelines
While ductile enough for cold working, intermediate annealing may be required due to work hardening. Forging should occur between 1750-2050°F followed by rapid cooling. Annealing is recommended at 2020-2150°F with rapid quenching to prevent formation of detrimental phases between 1400-1800°F. Welding can be performed using gas tungsten-arc, gas metal-arc, and shielded metal-arc processes.
