SUS443 stainless steel welded tubing and pipe offering exceptional corrosion resistance and cost-effective performance.
Product Overview
443 stainless steel is a ferritic alloy containing chromium and titanium with extremely low carbon content. This composition provides strong resistance to corrosion, particularly against moisture and salt environments.
While most ferritic alloys don't match austenitic alloys in durability, the high chromium content in 443 makes it at least as corrosion-resistant as 304 stainless steel. Additionally, 443 exhibits less thermal expansion than 304, resulting in reduced stress and warping under heat.
Note: 443 stainless steel is magnetic due to its high chromium content, but this doesn't indicate lower quality. Chromium remains one of the most corrosion-resistant metals available.
Material Advantages
443 stainless steel represents a new generation of ferritic stainless steel with excellent rust resistance and good formability. By reducing carbon content while increasing chromium and adding titanium, it achieves properties approximating 304 grade stainless steel, making it a cost-effective alternative in many applications.
