439 Stainless Steel Tube for Exhaust Systems
439 stainless steel is an enhanced ferritic material based on the 430 grade, with reduced carbon content and the addition of stabilizing elements like titanium. This formulation provides improved intergranular corrosion resistance, enhanced formability, and superior weldability. While its elongation is lower than 304 stainless steel (approximately 30%), 439 offers comparable strength and corrosion resistance, with performance exceeding that of 200 series materials.
