Key Features

254 SMO is a high-performance austenitic stainless steel with excellent resistance to uniform, pitting and crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It was developed to withstand corrosion from acids, especially in the presence of halide ions.

This alloy offers substantial strength advantages over common austenitic grades, with strength nearly twice that of 300 series stainless steel, while maintaining high ductility and impact strength.
