Product Description
Nickel Alloy 20 Sheet and Plate
ASTM A240 UNS N08020 Plate 0.6 - 20.0mm with Laser Cutting SS Sheet capabilities.
Product Overview
Alloy 20, also known as Carpenter 20, is a nickel-iron-chromium austenitic alloy engineered for maximum resistance to acid attack, particularly sulfuric acid. This superalloy delivers excellent resistance to general corrosion, pitting, and crevice corrosion in environments containing chlorides, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and nitric acids. The inclusion of niobium provides stabilization against sensitization and resultant intergranular corrosion.
Available Forms
- Sheet
- Plate
- Bar
- Pipe & Tube (welded & seamless)
- Flanges
- Fittings (elbows, tees, stub-ends, returns, caps, crosses, reducers, pipe nipples)
- Welding Wire (AWS Classifications: ER320LR and E320LR-16)
Key Characteristics
- Excellent general corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid
- Superior resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking
- Outstanding mechanical properties and fabricability
- Minimal carbide precipitation during welding
- Exceptional performance in resisting corrosion to hot sulfuric acids
