Material Description
Alloy 304L is a T-300 series austenitic stainless steel containing a minimum of 18% chromium and 8% nickel. With a maximum carbon content of 0.030%, it represents the standard "18/8 stainless" commonly used in pans and cooking tools. As the most versatile and widely used alloy in the stainless steel family, 304L exhibits excellent corrosion resistance and outstanding formability, making it ideal for various home and commercial applications. The austenitic stainless steels are considered the most weldable of the high-alloy steels and can be welded by all fusion and resistance welding processes.
