Material Description
Alloy 304L is a T-300 series austenitic stainless steel containing a minimum of 18% chromium and 8% nickel. Type 304L has a maximum carbon content of 0.030%, making it the standard "18/8 stainless" commonly used in pans and cooking tools. As the most versatile and widely used alloy in the stainless steel family, Alloy 304L offers excellent corrosion resistance, outstanding formability, and high ease of fabrication. The austenitic stainless steels are considered the most weldable of the high-alloy steels and can be welded by all fusion and resistance welding processes.
