What is Hastelloy C276 Plate, Sheet and Coil?
Hastelloy C276 is designed in definite shapes of plates, sheets, and coils. Each of these components has its set of features and functionality in the system.
- Hastelloy C276 plates are high-strength material that provides stability and strength to different items. These robust plates are designed in thickness above 6mm or more.
- Hastelloy C276 sheets are devices designed in thickness less than 6mm but higher than 0.5mm. These modules focus more on weight-saving and adding an aesthetical value rather than providing strength and stability.
- Hastelloy C276 coils are wound soon after the rolling process. Designed in thickness between 1.2mm up to 20mm, they can be easily transported from one place to the other.

Is Hastelloy C276 Clad Plate corrosion resistant?
Hastelloy C276 clad plate is a chromium, nickel, iron, and molybdenum grade that is solid-solution strengthened. These plates showcase excellent corrosion resistance properties and have exceptional stress resistance across different stress-induced setups. The superior chemical content in the clad plate gives them enhanced resistance against crevice corrosion and pitting in marine setups. Apart from this, the superalloy resists the development of precipitates due to the formation of grain boundary leading to enhanced corrosion resistance properties.
Is Alloy C276 Plate magnetic?
The alloy C276 plate is an austenitic grade designed to perform well in oxidizing and reducing environments. Most austenite grades are non-magnetic in nature, but the plates in the C276 grade have a magnetic permeability at 15.9 kA/m of 1.002.
