Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy that is resistant to corrosion. Is Hastelloy C276 the same as Alloy C276? Yes, alloy and hastelloy C276 are both the same. The name “Hastelloy” is a trademark name held by Haynes International. This alloy is suitable for many chemical process applications. Hastelloy C-276 has superior resistance to localized corrosion as well as oxidizing. Like other nickel alloys, it is easy to form, ductile, it is easy to weld, and possesses exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride-bearing solutions. In addition, it has excellent resistance to pitting as well.
