DIN EN 1.4462 stainless steel (X2CrNiMoN22-5-3 Material) is an Austenitic-Ferritic duplex steel, which combines the excellent properties of austenite and ferrite, and has good resistance to pitting, surface and intergranular corrosion, and higher resistance to stress corrosion cracking. 1.4462 material also has good weldability and mechanical properties, its strength is about twice that of austenite such as AISI 304 grade stainless steel.
