254 SMO Stainless Steel Pipes & Seamless Tubes

254SMo is an austenitic stainless steel specifically developed for use in halide-containing environments such as seawater. This steel demonstrates superior performance particularly in halide-containing acids and offers excellent resistance to uniform corrosion. With carbon content below 0.02%, it qualifies as pure austenitic stainless steel, and when carbon content is under 0.01%, it can be classified as super austenitic stainless steel.

High-alloy composition with elevated nickel, chromium, and molybdenum content
6% molybdenum content provides exceptional local corrosion resistance
Superior resistance to pitting corrosion (PI ≥ 40) and stress corrosion
Excellent performance in harsh conditions including seawater, aeration, gaps, and low-speed scouring
Suitable replacement for nickel-based alloys and titanium alloys
Enhanced high-temperature resistance and corrosion resistance compared to 304 stainless steel
Stable austenitic metallurgical structure
High crevice corrosion resistance in seawater, even at elevated temperatures
Strong corrosion resistance in acidic solutions and oxidizing halide solutions
