S30815 253mA Stainless Steel Plate
ASTM A240 Ss 253mA Plate - UNS S30815 253MA stainless steel plate combines excellent high-temperature service properties with ease of fabrication.
Product Overview
253MA stainless steel resists oxidation at temperatures up to 1150°C and provides superior service to Grade 310 in carbon, nitrogen, and sulphur-containing atmospheres. This grade is also known by the proprietary designation 2111HTR.
With relatively low nickel content, 253MA offers advantages in reducing sulphide atmospheres compared to high nickel alloys and Grade 310. The inclusion of high silicon, nitrogen, and cerium contents provides excellent oxide stability, high elevated temperature strength, and superior resistance to sigma phase precipitation. The austenitic structure ensures excellent toughness, even at cryogenic temperatures.
