Our abrasion resistant steel plates include AR235, AR400, AR450, AR500, and AR600 grades for various industrial applications.
Applications by Grade
- AR235: Moderate wear applications with improved wear resistance over structural carbon steel
- AR400: Premium abrasion resistant plates with heat treatment and through-hardening, offering improved forming and welding capabilities
- AR450: Applications requiring slightly greater strength beyond AR400
- AR500: Suitable for mining, forestry, and construction applications
- AR600: High-wear areas including aggregate removal, mining, and manufacture of buckets and wear bodies
AR400 Properties
AR400 is a through-hardened, abrasion resistant alloy wear plate with hardness range of 360-440 BHN and nominal hardness of 400 BHN. Service temperature: 400°F. Designed for applications requiring balanced formability, weldability, toughness, and abrasion resistance.
AR500 Properties
AR500 is a through-hardened, abrasion resistant alloy wear plate with hardness range of 470-540 BHN and nominal hardness of 500 BHN. Designed for applications requiring balanced impact resistance, toughness, and abrasion resistance.
