Abrasion Resistant Steel Plate Applications
  • AR235: Moderate wear applications with improved wear resistance over structural carbon steel
  • AR400: Premium heat-treated plates with through-hardening, enhanced forming and welding capabilities
  • AR450: Applications requiring slightly greater strength beyond AR400 specifications
  • AR500: Mining, forestry and construction applications requiring superior durability
  • AR600: High-wear areas including aggregate removal, mining, and manufacturing of buckets and wear bodies
AR400 Technical Properties
Through-hardened abrasion resistant alloy wear plate with hardness range of 360-440 BHN and nominal hardness of 400 BHN. Service temperature up to 400°F. Designed for applications requiring optimal balance of formability, weldability, toughness and abrasion resistance.
Applications: Mining, quarries, bulk material handling, steel mills, and pulp & paper industries. Note: Designed for liner applications only, not for use as self-supporting structures or lifting devices.
AR500 Technical Properties
Through-hardened abrasion resistant alloy wear plate with hardness range of 470-540 BHN and nominal hardness of 500 BHN. Engineered for applications requiring superior balance of impact resistance, toughness and abrasion resistance.
Applications: Mining, quarries, bulk material handling, steel mills, and pulp & paper industries. Note: Designed for liner applications only, not for use as self-supporting structures or lifting devices.
