As a martensitic stainless steel specifically designed for wear-resistant applications, 1Cr13MoS is charrized by its core alloying features: 11.50%-13.50% chromium, 0.30%-0.60 molybdenum, and 0.15%-0.30% sulfur.

Through a composition design of "chromium for corrosion resistance foundation molybdenum for matrix strength rnforcement sulfur for self-lubricating phase formation," it forms a stable martensitic structure after quenching and tempering.

This allows it to resist mild corrosion basic oxide film formed by chromium, enhance matrix hardness and wear resistance through the solid solution strengthening of molybdenum, and reduce the coefficient of friction through the selfating effect of sulfide phases formed by sulfur with manganese and iron during friction. Its composite characteristics of "wear resistance self-lubrication mild corrosion resistance" address industryts regarding insufficient wear resistance in traditional martensitic stainless steels and rust susceptibility in ordinary wear-resistant steels, making it widely used in scenarios where friction wear and mild corroion coexist, such as machinery manufacturing, petrochemicals, textile machinery, and valve fittings. Corresponding Designations of 1Cr13MoS in Various Countries National Standard: 1Cr13MS (GB/T 1221), the basic designation for this material, which specifies its chemical composition, heat treatment process, and mechanical property requirements. It is a common identifier in the domestic wear-resistant stainlesssteel field, focusing on applications for mechanical structural components.

American Standard: AISI 410MOD (UNS S41000 modified). There is no exact equivalent de in the US; equivalent performance is typically achieved by adjusting the molybdenum and sulfur content based on 410 stainless steel. Composition requirements can be specified by agreemet in ASTM A276, suitable for industrial machinery applications.

European Standard: X10CrMoS13 (EN 1.4105 modified). Europe adjuts the molybdenum content based on 1.4105 to form the corresponding grade. DIN 17440 specifies special regulations for its wear resistance, suitablel mechanical wear parts.

Japanese Standard: SUS 410J1MOD (JIS G4303). Japan adds sulfur to SUS 4 to form the suitable grade, optimizing machinability and wear resistance. It is mainly used in textile machinery and precision molds.
